Evo owner from Birmingham checking in. I live in Orlando, Fl now but I get back to bham every so often mostly around holidays. Usually when I'm in town i go to the Bham Cars and Coffee. Hope to meet some of you there, the past few times I've been there haven't been any evos!

 

Change of plans. Not going to make it this weekend. Maybe the next one I can.

 

We, ( Me, Sara, and Heath) were there this past weekend. We will be autocrossing this weekend in Bham.

Why?

 

I'm up in Huntsville but I'm going to Bham cars & coffee on the 7th. If anyone up here wants to roll down together let me know. I have to drop the mom off at the airport at about 08:30 so I'll be heading out around 07:00.

 

Thanks to C and Sarah for all the help getting going in autocross this weekend. The Wife and I had a blast. Ready for the next one. She is going to be one to look out for. I dread the day she gets the faster time and I have to hear the smack talk. HaHa! Heath, did you ever track down that ticking noise?

 

Sorry I wasn't able to interact with you guys more. I had sick car lol. Wish I could have helped you guys more too. I'm not stuck up; promise!!! lol. We're pretty much positive it's just a lifter. Shouldn't be too much of a hassle to get it quiet again

 

It was a great weekend!!! we went to two events of autocross. In Bingham on Saturday and Atlanta on Sunday. Here are the vidz. C

I'm kinda here! Took the roof off to get rid of the sunroof and am waiting on an AMS carbon roof.

 

Anybody know where I can find out ALL of the upcoming "import" drag events coming up in Georgia and Alabama?

 

What are some good all around tires (autocross/street) for the Evo? The ones I have are ok but after a few runs its like driving on ice no matter the tire pressure.

 

Our ( me and Sara ) street tires of choice is the Hankook RS3, Inexpensive and grippy, and it last a good while, we co-drive the car and it last us the entire season. C

 

Ok we will have to check into those! Thanks for the input. Just trying to get everything set up for the next one. I would like to grip a little better. I think my time was pretty descent for the first time ever but it can always be better. That's where the money comes in! Haha!

 

Met a new owner of a silver VIII yesterday in Madison, AL. Wingless, black wheels, and looked like ETS everything. The huge ETS front mount really stands out. Nice car man.

 

I will have to keep my eyes open for this one. Sounds nice. The only other ones I've seen in Madison besides Kraka_p's 8 is your blue one, and a white X that sits at that box place across from the Shell station.
