I know its like trying to find a needle in a haystack, but I was just wondering if anybody knows anything about this car besides what I know.

Maybe some one knew the owner etc.

I'm not looking for any feed back from you guys, my girl friend is purchasing this car on Wednesday. I test drove the car already and it was pretty strong.

I'm gonna change all the fluids, and bring it to Jestr to get it checked out to see if the tune on it is still good.

I would at least do a Compression and Leak down test on that car before I buy it.

 

I forgot to mention that, I will be doing that too.

 

i would def do a compression test. check that plugs, drive it and see if u hear any noises from the transfercase or the rear diff. and def let jestr give the car a retune!

 

I drove it and everything was fine, I think the turbo timer's wiring is messed up cause the car shut right off after I took the key out after the test drive but the turbo timers light stays on with nothing on it. It's just the light with no letters. It also stays on with the car off and key out and locked, that can kill the battery right?

But on Wednesday I'm gonna have the dealership perform the Compression & Leakdown test and if all checks out we're taking it.

What else should we look for?
The plugs, I want them to be a tanish color right? Cause white would mean lean, and black is rich so Ideally I'd want a tanish color?

5 speed? MR? lol

but im almost sure i've seen the car before or atleast another GG IX with the same CCW wheels. but this was almost 1 1/2 years ago so I dont know what was done to the car.

 

Yeah the dealership was dumb for making that mistake about the 5 speed lol.

But the 6 speed is junk on MR's so I'm looking into a sheptranny after a while.

 

Any body got a clue about the turbo timer?

Dave (forgot his last name) owned that car. Bought it new and some of the work done to it was done at RIDE when it was open and all the turbo performance stuff was done at Underpressure Racing in Ormond Beach. Shane Samuels did all the work to it. I made David the wheels for it and after Shane had it it's been running like **** ever since. As long as the crappy tune was in the favor of super rich which I belive it was when I drove it the motor should be fine. As far as all the performance upgrades done to it other than the suspension, wheel, tires, and intertcooler I would take it off and do it right. Was rigged in the frist place if you ask me. Dave had some money and owned two cars so since he was always fustrated the thing would never run he hardly drove it. Unfortunatly, I think he left it parked under a tree and everythings all dirty and rusty now. Bet that thing smells like a garbage bag of weed!

 

it smells like it was hot boxed every damn day.
