Well, only 2 of us showed up for the Nov 1 run.... But we had a great time Man, people just don't know just how good a car the EVO is. I had not had mine at the Gap before. I've taken 2 different Miatas over there on several occasions and I took my WRX there as well..... The final veredict is EVO rules!!

They've repaved the road and it is sweet! The EVO is incredible, I cannot say enough good thing about this car. I'm sure glad I've got one. BTW, I don't even think it's worth messing with the suspension or the power. If I get the gears right, the car carves the road like a custom made, sharpened bread knife through a fresh loaf of whole grain bread!

Sure, it could use higher spring rates and shocks to match, but then it would be too harsh for everyday driving. Yes, it could use more torque and HP if you are lazy, but if you use the gears right, it's awesome. I'm very glad we went out for the drive, it was a beautiful day and a fine day of driving.

Thanks for going Mike!

Lots of traffic and lots of people parked along the River in the way back.... So many people were in the river that there was no place to stop!

(oh yeah, you can see the bug splatters on the windshield too )

I think it's about time someone said to leave the stock suspension alone, the car is better then about 99.9% of the people driving it though. I think it needs a litttle bit on the top end though but it is SUPER fast in the tight stuff.

It was a great time. Thanks for going Manuel. And thanks for the great pictures. The Dragon was fun, sure there was traffic at times, but it was still a good way to spend a Saturday. It was awesome following an Evo through some of those turns. The handling and balance is incredible. We ran a road, 28, that was an excellent road. The stretch along the lake was fun.
I agree on the suspension. I was thinking about trying some things but the car is perfect in the mountains. The balance is excellent.
It was a great time, Thanks Manuel

Hey Racer... finally posting over in the EVO forums.

I'm the dude with the white Impreza L w/STi seats.

Is that my pic on the first page of the post? I have one exactly like it.

Completely forgot about the last planned run... now the work ***** killed my access to NASIOC, so I don't post much.

Anyhoo, PM me next time you guys are planning a trip to the Gap.

-Mike.
