whats going on man... who were you referring to about the tune ? lol, By the way, this is Jason, WW IX, i picked up the BOV from ya. Anyhow, if you want to sign up for the TTP tune, there is a thread for it in the southeast section as well. Just let me know and I can add you to the list. We need to start getting a more solid count of people. Let me know. Otherwise, if thats not an option, PM Freshsrt-4, he will be able to help you out with a tune for a fairly cheap price, just ask him.
i saw a yellow one parked at the provost marshall's office this morning, is that yours?
There is a road race event at VIR this weekend - hosted by NASA.
There are a ton of cool track cars there - and racing to see.
They have lunchtime parade laps too - you can take your car around the track a few times for like $10
It's about an hour from Raleigh

There are HPDE and racing sessions all morning
Then at lunch the workers take a break
So during lunch the pace car goes out with maybe 20-30 cars in a line
You can't go nuts - but you get a few spots to punch it a bit and see the line through the turns - basically get a feel for being on track. VIR is 4 miles long too - so you can make a bit of space for yourself.
asshattery is swiftly removed though - and if you wreck during parade laps you definitely get to leave in shame

There are almost always a few EVO's at a track event - but more WRX's/Vette's BMW's etc.
If you want to find out what you and your car are really capable of there is nothing comparable to a track day. And going to one in advance is a great way to get a feel for how to prepare and what to expect.
If you secure a helmet you can probably get a ride during one of the HPDE sessions.
I am going up to ride in a customer's C6Z06.
If you are really interested in this sort of thing -
google NASA-VA (Virginia section of NASA)
Chin Motorsports
Carguys
Mazdadrivers
They all host these types of events.
