I have only dealt with Jordan at the front through small convo and the only evo I know that had work done through them is Justin. Good to hear stuff from people that have went there.

Yeah it sucked all around, ending having to go to another shop because they wouldn't work with me on getting it fixed.

Hey to each his own, in my personal experience Spec-Ops is what works for me, and as far as customer service goes, Matt goes above and beyond.

Take for example my last rounds of mods, man I was in Afghanistan and everytime I got to go use the computers there were not just "answers" to my pm;s but some actual in depth knowledgeable stuff to help me decide the parts to go with that actually works well together. Someone said that national speed picks up cars, I mean Wilmington is only like what, an hour away.....man when I was deployed, since my wife dont drive my car (yeah dont ask why! lol) Josh drove down with his wife to get my car, turn around and drive back up......and fayetteville is a little furthur than wilmington. And I aint d*#k riding or nothing but to me its the little things in life that matters, and they didnt have to, as they were not hurting for work, its just what they do there man and thats just my experience. And my car not only performs, but actually drives smooth as butter!! Just call and talk to these guys, its like family......

I can only speak about my actual experience, I know nothing about any of the other shops, I am actually heading up there real soon to get a few more parts put on my car if u wanna ride along just let me know.

And when is the next meet gents, I am always down for some wings!!!!

To not start an argument or hurt feelings I will leave past comments from other owners aside by using the name Jim. Jim is a X owner here in jville. He took his car to spec ops for a tune, great so far. His graph looked decent given the mods he had but the kicker. His clutch started slipping after leaving the parking lot. There is no way the tuner didn't realize this in the rollers. Now I'm not finger pointing but things do happen to cause clutch slip and the shop shouldn't be held responsible. But for the tuner to not have the courtesy to tell him "hey dude your clutch can't handle the power and is slipping" is pretty jacked up in my opinion. I drove Jim's car the next day and it was slipping hardcore as ****. Plus I didn't appreciate the guy from spec ops trying to sell me amsoil when myself and another guy were merely talking about how national speed sells it and are only 45 minutes away. I could clearly see they sold amsoil, and don't want to buy it.

National speed is great but a bit pricey. They don't specialize per se on any model but do stand by their work (as every shop should). Aside from price they are closer and have an awesome shop with friendly people. I am not sure how familiar their tuner is though where as you have countless evos tuned by force fed.

The only other shop I would go to is HIS motorsports in hickory NC. That's 5 hours away so if you would go that far I could tell you a bit. Great shop, great people, and kasey knows his **** with Evos.

Everybody mother ***** every other shop. It happens but I prefer force fed. Great people, great service (I mean **** they stayed open on a Saturday for me from 10am to 9ish just for my car). I have had beers with the force fed guys the night I met them and from the start I have nothing but great things to say.
Everyone has their own opinion about shops and their preferences. The treatment you got at FFP, staying at the shop late just to finish your car is something that is routinely done at Spec-Ops as well. Its what shops do in order to service their customers to the best of their ability. When someone is paying good money to have their car serviced, tuned and taken care of, they should only get the best service in return. Here in Fayetteville, there isn't anyone who has been tuning Evos longer than we have. We personally have tuned the very first Evo on the first AWD dyno in the city. I know this personally because I helped install the dyno, and tuned the very first Evo which ironically enough, happened to be a Jacksonville customer of, at the time, H & H Performance, which I was contract tuning for.

In regards to "Jim" and the slipping clutch...

I am attaching his graph from the night on the dyno. His car had no noticeable clutch slipping on the dyno. Clutch slipping is very clear in a dyno graph when you see it. There is a considerable jump in HP/TQ in one location and usually a boost action associated.

Things to take notice for those who aren't use to viewing Mustang Dyno Graphs. Filter value is set to 6. Some shops use something closer to 50 or 60. With filtering on 6, every little jump in RPM, Fuel, HP and TQ show up. With 50 or 60, that can be hidden. I have highlighted that along with HP/TQ gains.

Believe me, if the clutch was slipping on the dyno, you'd see it, we'd have seen it, it would have been visible in the graph as well as the log, and we would have relayed that info to "Jim" in order to make him aware of his situation. There were very simply, no indications.

From what I have been reading manual is better for higher boost. I know I'm running 30lbs and no problems but I personally I am going to turn it down for the simple fact the car hardly goes past 15lbs because it is mine and my wife's dd. Plus I am still trying to figure out this car. From what I was told by the pervious owner the motor is fully built but who's to say. That and I'd like to get the car on a dyno just to see where it really is. I was told 400+ whp.
