So they had a dyno day at Majestic. I figured "what the hell" and threw my car up on their Dyno Dynamics dyno.




For some reason this thing takes forever to spool and torque SUCKS!! Looks almost like a big turbo graph to me. I feel like I'm missing something. I'm sure this setup is faster, but my 50trim felt faster. Are cams holding me back that much!?

Getting sick of throwing money at this car. I was going to sell it then decided to keep it. Now thinking about just ridding myself of it. Not that the car is bad. I guess I was just expecting more out of this setup. With torque pushed so far out it just doesn't feel as fast.

I double checked the Evo VII tails on lancershop.com. There the OEM VII tail. Shipped from Japan. The part number listed is a Mitsu part number, so Id say its a safe bet!!

Im actually looking for EVO 9 tails at the moment!!!

Same cams as you, HKS 264/272 otherwise stock head. And I've heard Majestic's dyno tends to hurt people's feelings.

 

Im looking to upgrade my cams in the near future. The 264 intake cam is holding me back about 30 hp, not sure.how much tq with my current setup... id love to find a sweet deal on a 35r to replace the 3076..

 

Dyno Dynamics tend to do that. If you go for numbers you will be pissed, if you go for tuning you will be happy.

 

Import vs Domestic Horsepower Showdown is going down June 4th at National Speed in Wilmington. Then June 5th is the drag racing event at Coastal Plains here in Jville. Anyone going to that? To bad my cams are still on backorder and I don't have a good tune right now or a working meth injection kit.

Oh yeah. I know people around here that get really bent out of shape for their numbers. I was satisfied with my peak numbers. Just the overall feel of the car is not so much satisfying.

I'll be in FL vacationing and house hunting so won't make the shootout for sure. I hope the imports hold their own a bit.

 

I will be at coastal plains for the import vs domestic.

NCTC is rolling down there for the NSI event. Although some of us are going to Carolina motorsports park for the 2 day pdx

I'm game to go. I don't know about national speed, but the track yes. It maybe nice to go to natioinal speed to see some good craftman ship and numbers. It would be interesting talking to the domestic guys and seeing how they lay things out. I'm sure I could learn a few things from some old guys. You thoughts?
