Quote: Two officers so far were leaning towards they stole to take it "joyriding". If it was a common car like a civic or something it would def. been taken for parts.

I mean it can still send up parted out, but I also think it was for a joy ride.
azzholes!
Sorry to hear

I doubt it was for a joyride. Evo's are becoming the new honda's and they are being stolen and parted out just like hatches, integra's etc.. There was a chop shop that was busted not too long ago in broward with 3 evo's inside.

There were some 12 evo's stolen in the chicago area this last year, and they were being stolen specifically for parts. Good luck, and I hope this whole ordeal does not discourage you from getting another evo

I'm sorry to hear about your loss!

My evo was stolen back in Aug. I have a feeling they'll find your Evo stripped in Margate. Same place they found mine. I'm calling it as of right now.

Hey Sorry to hear that also.
Where was yours stolen from? How long after did they find it?
With mine they seemed to head slightly south to steal gas on my CCs.

Sorry to hear this. All these evos being stolen makes me worry and want to chain mine down to the ground at night. I wonder if these people doing it are the same from chicago since its done in a simalure fashion. I also wonder how they are locating these cars and wonder if maybe they are using this forum and others to find the cities and states. Who knows, these people should be shot. I hope someone catches them in the act and they get theirs and everything they had coming to em.

Sorry for your loss man.

We had a "rash" of Evos getting stolen here in IL just last summer. IIRC, they got about 17 Evos.

I took a hiatus from the boards after all that. GL.
