If you've seen the unpainted yellow lancer with the evo kit and wing, that's me!!!! I'm new to the school, just moved down from Charlotte. I went to UNCC for two years and honestly, I ran out of freakin money. I saw a red Evo 8 yesterday in the school parking lot...very sweet. If there are any car people that read this and go to Wake, let me know. I don't know anyone since I'm new to the area.

 

Hey! i was about to post a thread, i saw you comming towards wake tech on my way home! kinda hard not to notice you, first time i saw the kit on a ride, a few people here on the board have that kit, and theres a few evos in our area as well...i am in the process of getting an oz, its a pain trying to find on used 03 5-spd for the right price, everyone wants what they paid for it, but i am doing something similar...i want the conversion...


welcome to the boards man! and go luck on the ride and getting the kit painted, you'll get a lot of hate for putting it on there when its not painted, hey maybe one day i can take it for a ride in the parking lot...

yah, tuition and books is what kept me from getting it painted. i'm studying arch. design 2yr degr. and getting a cad certificate.

i hope to have it painted soon. i'm also trying to get it lowered very soon.

Yeah I saw it today. I drive the red EVO you saw. What days do you have class? How do you like Wake Tech? There's an STi, blue w/ gold rims too. His name's Brian. He's a cool guy. What other mods do you have on your Lancer? What are you going to school for?

Just intake and exhaust. i bought some springs but they dropped the car crooked and they said i'd have to take it up with company about that issue because they don't have any warranty. so this time i think i'm going with tein. i bought a turbo and smic but the turbo had interior cracks. i think the previous owner didn't have it timed and after so many starts with bad oil, that caused the cracks. i have a nice blue racing seat and sparco harness, haven't installed that yet, too cold to do anything outside. my friend dan has a blue si and he sold me his 18" focal f5's. i haven't put them on yet b/c one has a crack and leaks air pretty bad. but i got a good deal with new tires.

i was a physics major while i was in charlotte, but i ran out of party money after my second year so i came to wake and i'm now studying arch. design.

 

That's cool dude. I'm taking college transfer classes. Would like to go to NC State school of design. Maybe even for arch.!!! I've just got Intake, exhaust, boost control, emanage and turbo timer. Have the buschur fmic but not installed yet. Have to retune the emanage for that so I'm waiting until this weekend. You should come for a ride sometime, it's pretty impressive....well, maybe I'll see you around campus. If you see me in my car give me a holler.

 

sweet..i haven't rode in one yet....im in kinda tight with the salesman that sold me my car. he said he'd call me when they get another evo in for me to drive for a day and they wash my car for me and change my oil. but he hasn't called me yet. but hell yah, i'm up for a ride in the evo.

 

Did you go to the dealership in Hwy 64 or Capital Blvd.? I bought mine from Hwy 64. The salesman was Jason Jones. Nice guy. Is it the same guy you know?

well i am out there every tues/thurs from 9am to 4pm and i have a 2 hour break those 2 days, and i have class friday night from 5-10pm...

i saw black evo today with a vinyl tein decal on the valve cover and what looked like a greddy bov. looked nice and lowered.
