It was a good time, I also found 2 evo's without the intake clips on making a strange noise Put those clips on or zip tie them and order the clips lol. Glad I could help a little. Anytime at Barrett I am game I live about 2 miles from it.

I am missing the intake clips too. No strange noises yet. What kind of noise should I be listening for?

Once I get back in town, I am always up for a Barrett meet. I too live very close.

 

where can i order those clips from? i lost one of them. I dont' live anywhere close to Barrett but i'm up for anything if ya wanna meet again. It was nice meeting all of ya last nite.

 

Hey guys, Me and Mike just took the clips out of the trunk (I don't think it will miss it for now). You have to press the clips down in the middle with a key or something, then pull them out. When they are out you have to pull the middle back up through the center then put the clip in place and push the middle back in. Thanks again Ryan for finding that it saved the car.

Lightsped - I only noticed the sound when I really pushed it, but now notice there was a difference almost all the way through. It sounded like it was blowing off pressure before red-line. Like the sound when you open a coke can. Again, it really doesn't matter if you hear the sound all the time, I barely heard it, but those clips are really affecting the car. Ya, like I said if you don't have the clips use zip ties, if you think I am full of it I can show you what it does in my car when I was getting 12 pounds off boost not 22. Put the clips in if you don't have them because it will also screw up your car because 2 things will happen, it will choke off the intake making it work harder as well as running SUPER rich because it's tring to get to 22 PSI and only getting say 15.

 

I am not near my car right now (out of town) but where exactly in the trunk are the clips you are substituting? Is it the exact same style clips? The ones with the "push button" in the middle?

 

there the same clips, you can just look to the left side of the trunk or the right side and you can't miss it. its right by that lil compartment they put in the trunk.
