Driving School before Evo purchase...
Hello everyone I am currently looking for a driving school around the Atlanta area before I get my Evo. Because I am a teen with alot of driving experience but I dont want my car to look like those in the pictures. I was just wondering if anyone knows about any around Atlanta.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Congrats, that will be the best mod you can do for your car, making yourself a better driver.
When I lived in Atlanta, there were a bunch of schools run from Road Atlanta (which is actually not in Atlanta but way north towards the SC border. Take a look at their website, I'm sure they list what schools are run there.
Good luck and let us know which one you decide on taking.

I would take the Audi Experience over the Panoz, simply because you will being buying an awd vehicle and not a rwd vehicle. I think the panoz course would be much more expensive too, but I have no proof of that.
Some driving schools allow you to use your own car, but a lot provide the cars for you (i'm assuming liabilty has something to do with this).
A good driver (which is what these schools are trying to lead you into the direction in) should be able to apply those principles learned into any car they get themselves into (obviously, principles change with factors such as awd, fwd, rwd, tires, etc.). But you get my point, a brilliant next step would be to autocross your EVO so that you can learn that much more about it. Let's face it, a one or three day performance driving school is not enough time to learn everything. It's practicing what you've learned that will make you a better driver.

Look up the BMWCCA for your area and contact them. The instructors are excellent and they will have a variety of programs to fit your needs. Also look into seeing if there is an autocross school or practice day that you could attend. It's a great way to use the car and will give you alot of experience and hopefully a better understanding of what the car is doing.
