Hey guys I'm moving to the clearwater area beginning of may and I'm bringing my evo 9 with me. Is there a decent amount of evo owners down there? I'm moving from NY and will rent for a bit until I find a house in a area that I like.

Hey men, Welcome to Tampa. I think there a lot of us, but not that many are here. We have a meet tomorrow i believe and will see if i can stop by.

I see some evo's here and there. Only problem is lack of shops that do great work on Evo's in Tampa.

I THINK I heard Orlando has a fair amount of Evo's. At least that isn't terribly far.

welcome man...you got another fellow evo owner right here in tampa...someone gave you great advice on here...dont go to any evo shops in tampa...theres a pretty big car community and night life here...went to a car show yesterday...either way, if you want to hit up a car meet or hit the streets one day im game!

ninja, i want to go to that meet tomorrow but man i didnt know it was in dunedin...thats like an hour from me...

When I was there a few years ago they would announce meets and things on this FB page (owner has a real Evo 7). There was also a thread in the regional section here on EvoM, but I don't know how many folks reply to it.

Ill be there in July, evo and 3 subies, question for all you guys in the area what octane gas is out there and how good is the E85? Not worried about it on the Evo (flex fuel ) but am on one of my STI's. Anyone know local tuner ect if necessary?

Gas out here is 93 oct and e85 is available in Thornton gas stations. There's quite a bit of them so not too bad to get...plenty of tuners in the area...have on of the best in my book, alpha from induction performance...

Not a lot of E85 where i live, a lot of shell gas stations. So i use 93 Nitro+ from Shell.

Welcome , like everyone else mentioned be very careful of shops out here. Just do some research before hand and you will be good. Im fairly new to the area also and seen a few Evos but don't know many owners at all lol. I'll be down if anyone wants to meet up also

Tampa here as well, but with an Evo IV. Quite a few car meets, but not a lot of Evos show up.
