Atlanta has been non-existent the past few weeks. I can't wait for DYNO day at dyno4mance on May 15. I hope I have more HP than the STI doing a baseline pull after me.

So where's the central thread at?

I'm back after a long time of trying to get mine fixed and having to sue a bunch of people to get it back on the road. I pick it up this week and hope to be there on the 19th!

Well, kinda a long story that some know, but is crazy. I got into an accident. I was out late one night and bringing home a few friends (it was actually the night I was down on Moreland with Ryan, and a few other EVO people drag racing and I totally killed this Mustang that was spraying a 150 shot). Well, going around a corner near my house something came out in front of me right before the apex(we don't know what it was, it looked like an animal, but could have been a plastic bag blowing across for all I know). I swerved to miss it since my car was so low that I couldn't even go over speedbumps. So I go into the other lane and I'm fine, but then in the other lane was a car coming in my direction, which I miss by inches back into the other lane. At this point the car is wagging as I bring it out of the corner. I contersteer 3 times and have it going great. I turn towards my friend and say "that was close" and as I said that my back right tire hit some gravel and with the all wheel drive it put extra power to that wheel and when I brought it back onto the road it sent the car into a spin and it hit one of those green power boxes side ways knocking it over and my car went onto of the box. Well, I could go more into the accident, but the main problem was the clean-up. There was body damage on the side of the car with both doors smashed in and a little frame damage. the front bumper was ripped off and the FMIC was bent in a spot. There was a number of other things, but I don't want to write 10 pages. I had the shop that sponsors me look into a good shop and the one suggested was Collision Works in Roswell. Well, they had one of the only laser frame adjusters and also checks body torsion to make sure it is back to spec. They also had a lifetime warranty and would make sure I retained all Mitsu warranties since they were certified. Well after 2 months of wrestling with insurence and the shop (wasn't really their fault in the end since insurence took long and we had to wait 3 weeks for the Buscher FMIC because of back orders) I got it back. Well I had only driven it 10 miles when I noticed that the suspension was so out of wack that anything more then 30 mph turning caused the back end to go out. Long story short they messed it up and hadn't tightened any bolts, aligned it or replaced the broken pieces. I then had the oil light go on in 2 days to find that it was totally empty, so they either didn't put more back in or had messed up installing the new oil cooler. This whole time it was running worse then a stock EVO and almost as slow as a standard Lancer. Well I had put on the Buscher intake and intercoller, so I thought it was majorly out of tune. I decided to check it out and say they didn't put back in the central motor mount, but a pin that had almost come out, causeing the engine to shift, rip the intercooler piping and cause me to have no boost. At this point I wasn't about to take it back to them an found about 10 more problems and on top of that I was driving it the night before dropping it off at a good shop and the transfere case goes out and my new exedy twin plate that had only 2,000 miles on it (which ended up not being under warranty). So the car was totally out of commission. I had to go after the shop since it seems that all the bad work they did ended up causeing all the drivetran problems and more and now a good shop is almost done fixing everything and making it a whole lot better (The shop is Chix performance and they build all the Braves, Falcons, celebrity cars...plus have built 2 of teh fastest Eclipses in the US and a boat load of show race cars to boot) He now has custom made at his shop a cold air intake and a full 3' all the way from the downpipe back w/no cat (It makes nice flames!!) and since he's a full Exedy rep he got me the new (From Sport Compact Car EVO) Exedy twin plate ceremattalic clutch which is amazing. Plus he's only just staarted and called the earlier stuff his stage 1 and will be doing more before bringing teh car to the 19th show to really show what he can do. So in the end it kinda worked out, I just haven't had an EVO for way too many months!

Not an EVO owner here either, but you guys are probably use to seeing me at any of the events GA DSMers show up to, or with gadsmevo (jonathan).

I'm in Lawrenceville.
