Hey guess. My name is Lindsey and for those that know me I am VP of the CLC (Carolina Lancer Club). I have been talking with a few others across the east coast. Now the CLC is a branch of the ECLC. However things have been going way to slack overall and across the coast. I and a few others are up to trying to get the ball rolling a lot better in making this more uniform.
We cover the east coast. That is # one is keeping this all under one main name. However due to the size a few of us have broken up to make meets and events possible. I would like to get the ECLC broken down with 3 main reps (Pres, WP, sec) by chapters. Most states have already done so. Once this is done everyone should organize a meet for sometime next month. This is summer break and schedules are a lot more relaxed. I would like to see a ECLC meet sometime in AUG before school starts back up. This is just to get the ball rolling and the word out. I know there are plenty of active members across the board who are willing help make this work.
If there are already chapters formed please go ahead and contact me so we can start making this work! Well all for now. Please put you input in I am asking for any ideas you guys have or advice you have to offer. I know we are all busy but if the few of us willing to put the time, effort and energy into this we can make this work. Also just want to say thanks for the founders of ECLC, this is not and uprising just an asskicking to get this together brought to you by this fiesty little chick!

Why not have a meet where people can drag race and have a meet at the same time. Like the Event at Commerce GA on June 19th. Alot of the GA people are going. Maybe everyone doesn't want to drag race, but there should be alot of Evos and dragracing entertainment if you don't want to race.

well i am thinking that every section (chapter, state, whatever) needs to first hold a meet to get roll call and get informed before we try to have a huge meet which is why i was going for aug, plus before school starts back up... but yes something like that is good....but then we have to keep it in kinda in the middle of the coast.

who is in charge of GA?
who in charge of FL?? do you guys have 2 groups??

Well There is Temevo.com for FLorida... Weve got a bunch of evos in sfla and are trying to get some of the guys in central FL more active.

Well it would be real nice to have a "Big Meet" but from what I have read the ECLC is a Non-Evo group. In fact in many posts we have been specifically excluded ....or so posts have indicated. TEMEVO has a selection of Evos and normal Lancers. Although most members have Evos we have 4 members with normal Lancers and one honoray member with a Mercedes (Hey, he show up to almost all the meets).

That in mind, I don't know how we can help if most of us are excluded.

PS if any Lancer owners move to Miami they will always be welcome at TEMEVO.

 

yea we kinda the same way due to just trying to get people in!! we do have evos at our meets or whoever wants to tag along...but this is supposed to be mostly for lancers but then the idea is to have fun and learn about our cars....which is why i am trying to help get this more organized.

I dont know about you but the whole thing about not hanging with each other is dumb.

I hang with DSms subbys and what ever else......but to not hang with the EVOs cause you wouldnt learn anything about your respective car is completely retarded.

There is more to learn than just car specific stuff....but thats just me.

ust for the fact that we have trouble keeping up we hate you on principal no joking!!

there is no way to make everyone happy and a lot of times the evos are the most active already so this is to get the reg lancers out and about as well!!

 

I think we should meet up with high tach for the blue ridge cruise. and then make a eclc main meet somewhere close by and just do what we want, after the fun drive through the blue ridge mtns. and be on film they are renting a chopper to get some areial footage.


Please guys we dont need to turn this into a flame war over evo vs. lancer and who can join and who cant... (we have beaten this topic before and it got nowhere lol)
at least all of us in NC just want to get out have a good time and chill.. thats what i have gathered so far...

and just for the record i have found that 80% of the people in the triangle area that drive a "lancer" dont care about a car club most of them are older.. and the other 20% dont know we are even around. THAT is why we have evos showing up for meets. more so than getting lancer owners out. they just are not around like they are in NY NJ MD ect...

 

yeah i like having a combo of evos/ ralli-arts/ and our oz's showing up at our little gatherings. even tho i hate the fact i can't keep up with everyone else at least i have a "lancer"

I don't like flame wars either. I just want to be clear about things before I show up where I'm not wanted. I would rather just avoid the unpleasentness. As for a MAJOR meet some of the Miami people might be interested depending on date and distance.

 

If its in NC and you guys are shooting footage from a chopper I knbow I would show up depeneding on the date....THe Miami guys could meet up with the orl guys and head to Nc for some driving.....and fun.

Alot of us are older, well not old but older than 21 and we still enjoy hanging out, chillin with the clubs and doing whatever else.....so lets all have fun were all enthusiasts.

 

which is what we want to hear! guys most of us in the ECLC are working to get all lancers involved....please dont hate the fact that it is supposed to be just "lancers" currently a few of us in the ECLC have noticed a slack in the leadership and the gunhoeness (that a word?) that is need to keep this going. Which is why me and a few others are working to get the word out and get what needs to be done done. Who knows maybe us slow lancers,lol, will let the evos in at a later date. but for now we need the support and help from everyone including the evos to make this work. The fact is that yes most people who buy the regular lancers could careless about this stuff and are old and drive slower than dirt! but there are those out there who enjoy this stuff.
What I am trying to do is get this going. Need people willing to take the responsiblity in getting this more together. Us in the Carolinas have already started the ball in motion in getting organized and offical. Now we need more. I have 2 or 3 in the MD area willing to take charge. Now I need regular lancers drivers (for now) to take some leadership roles and help us get the rest of the coast going. Guys this could be big! We don't need to worry about flaming wars between evos and the others. This is to bring us together we want evos at our meets!! we love your cars too, we cant keep up with them yes. But we do want your input and your attendance. Now drop the evo issue please and lets start addressing the main issues
So far we need leaders for the areas, we need to get the sections of the east coast together before anyone would really want to head up to some b.s "east coast" meet. By getting people in charge of the states we can go ahead and set up monthly meets and activites. Then the leaders of the states can work together in bringing together the whole coast.
