There's a Mirage in town! Chapel Hill... (for CLCers)

Hey people I know I don't have a Lancer but let's face it this really is a Lancer just named differently cuz of Daimler-Chrysler. Anyway to the point... I figured since I may be hangin out with a few of you CLC people in the area I'd post a couple pics of my car. I just got these wheels (Buddy Club P1 SF - 17x7 - Gunmetallic wrapped in Yokohama AVS ES100s) today and I love them.

Thanks to Mike at Urban Import and Durham for the deal and TireRack.com for cheap prices and fast shipping.

wow, nice car!!!!

a FMIC will fill that bumper out QUITE nicely.

i love that gen "evo" ... though the only thing i'd do is get a white one... dark blue reminds me too much of subies.. and the tires look a little thin?

but major props for the conversion. looks fantastic!

Fevo: That's the original color! And yeah I've been chattin with CentryLancer about hangin out, but it won't be this weekend or the next because those two weekends start of the school year which means massive partying here in Chapel Hill that I can't miss haha. But I definitely wanna get together with you guys soon.

Demon: Like I said above, next weekend won't work but I'm DEF down for the next one. I went on my first mountain cruise with the Mirage club earlier this summer and I am addicted... it's the sole reason I spent the cash on new wheels and tires.

hueman: I agree. That bumper is begging for an intercooler. I am very very soon buying a carbon fiber trunk and a bucket seat, but after that it's 100% saving up for turbo. I have to do alot of research with my car though because although there are kits out there, there aren't any major brand name kits, so I have to know exactly what I want, and maybe even do it piece by piece. As for the thin tires... the aspect ratio is 40. Trust me, I went through alot of discussion before I chose those but for my car they are the best because there is no rubbing and the speedometer is barely affected. I switched to these from 205/50/16 tires and the total circumference and diameter actually decreased.

Thanks for the compliments!

i'd recommend a 4g63t conversion over a turbo kit. when i was building my mirage i found everything for the swap(USDM 4g63t engine, FWD tranny, and ecu) at around $3500. that was about two years ago.
