so i got to meet a bunch of you guys from tlc at the meet, and it seems im not the only one that wants to get my tails tinted (after my mediocre experience with vht niteshades cus i didnt listen to the can..)

im opting for group tinting at shinzo and I know there are a few ppl already interested in this, so im going to be calling/emailing mike at shinzo before the end of this week, hopefully i can get some more solid figures on the costs, but it should be under $70 for the tail lights and sidemarkers.

if anyone else is interested, just leave a msg here or pm me, along with when u are available, right now the unofficial date is going to be on a saturday, because infamous says hes only free then, but ill be contacting mike and giving you guys more details as they come.

ok ive been having trouble reaching mike, so today I went straight to the shop and had a talk with him and asked about details. Here is the deal:

1) The cost right now the package $75, for either a 40% or 20% tint, which includes the rear tail lights, the side markers, the rear reflectors and also the rear brake light in the middle of the bumper. I will have my car already that day at a 20% tint so those of you who want to see the results can have a look see if you come to the meet.

2) The group buy deal is for a limited time only, I suggest everyone who is interested to pm me asap, I will try to keep this deal open for as long as I can, but there will be no guarantees after this April 19th

3) For those of you who have already expressed interest by either posting in this thread or pm'ing me, I have reserved a spot for you. I will be accepting money at the next TLC meet on April 16th at kennedy commons, I will be there around 8ish if all goes well. If you are interested in the buy, please add your name to the list that I have made at the end of this post, as well send me a PM, and I will give you more details.

4) The dates for installation are flexible. The shinzo boys are not going to be open this coming weekend (april 18 and 19th) and also the weekend after (April 25 26), I can help you organize an appointment or you can do it yourself, however I would appreciate you contact me first so I can let shinzo know who you are ahead of time

And adding to what evo_soul has mentioned in his post, I will also will have my hood vinyld flat black that day, you can see the job shinzo has done on my car, so those of you who want to check out their handiwork feel free to look for me (my rear bumper has my current evom avatar on it, which was incidentally also custom made by shinzo)

hey guys just a quick update, we sent an email to them on abt saturday, still waiting for reply from shinzo, mike has been quite busy lately, but as soon as i get response i should be able to give you guys a much better estimate on prices and tint options, etc

in the meantime, for those of you who are interested if you guys can give me "roughly" when you are free thatd be great, i know we cant please everyone, but ill try to get a general consensus on whats the best date(s) and try to work out whats best for all of us

 

im gonna be at the sprint booster thing this weekend,then work next weekend,then any weekend after that im down,if it happens to fall on this weekend or next its cool,there will be more later on

 

Ok guys I finally got some more info from Mike, no firm details on pricing yet, but here are the options we have. The package I am pushing for is one that includes our tail lights, the rear reflectors, and the side markers. There are two tint percentages, light smoke (~40%) and dark smoke (~20%).

Option 1
We can get it all done by Shinzo

Option 2
For about half the price, we can organize our own meet and do it ourselves, I can get us discounted prices on the vinyls and we can find a warm weekend do it. The sheets come non precut, we simply stretch it over apply it and trim it ourselves, Im sure you all know how it works if not a quick search on vinyl application on the YouTube will yield a handful of tutorials.

Personally right now I would say I like the second option. I believe that together we can do just as good as a job applying the vinyls as long as we take our time to do it properly. As well itd give us all a chance to get to know each other more hahah~ that being said, you guys are welcome to have your own input on this, I havent asked mike whether we can have different people going for different options, but I would think itd be a little cheaper if we all go for either option 1 or 2. Anyway Im still trying to work out and finalize the pricing, once I get the info from either shinzo or evosoul ill post them up here.

Hopefully I can have all the details down before April 16th (the date of our next meet) and ill see if more ppl are interested in the group tint, and Ill probably collect money that day too, and we can meet up the weekend of or after. So check back on this thread every once in a while, Ill have more details posted up as soon as i get them

 

I'm down for number option 1, I'd like to see the shop there and see what other stuff I can do while im there. So that's my opinion. But I dont mind doing it myself either. Let me know soon.

 

I too would like to go for the option 1 but will follow the pack if the DIY is what gets chosen. Keep me posted on dates, can't make it april 18-19 UFC in the way of that.
