^^ that's a neat idea... I just stuck in the original plate rubber pieces LOL cost to me: FREE!

Though I'm sure not everyone kept those when they switched to side-mounted.

oh, those ones! yeah, I've seen those before. I'll pick one up when I'm about to do my bumpers. I just bought a can of plasti dip - the last one! (whew!) but it kinda suck a bit coz it ain't on sale! (damn, HH branch! hahaha) oh well.

So do you guys suggest to do both the grille and bumper at the same time? or can I do them separately but with the same amount of coats? coz I still have the vinyl on the bumper (altho it's a half inch short on all 4 sides! lol), but I can take out the grille now and just paint them in the basement and install back before midnight.

ok i guess heres my diy w/ pix =P

so here im removing the old plasti dip coat which i messed up...too thin, and looked splotchy
notice how paint job remains mint =)

this first layer of tape will last u the entire session, lay it a bit away from where u intend to spray

after rough out line completed, lay out news paper around to prevent over spray, and make the removeable layer of tape that over laps the previous layer of tape and goes to the edges u wish to cut the paint off @
this layer of tape should be remove 10 MINS after each coat, any more than 10 mins and u'll need to use a razor blade to help,

here is the final, layer, make sure ur layers are thick and wet especially ur final layer

and to cover up the holes heres what i whiped up 70 cents from home depot covered in plasti dip

I might head to Home Depot on Sunday, I can check for you.
But I'm guessing not that much people use this coz when I picked it up today, they only have one can for each color left (clear coat, white, black, red, blue, and yellow)
They do have 2 cans of each color but not on the rattle spray can.
I might check another Home Hardware branch and if they have it, you want me to pick it up for you? Oh, and just a head's up, they weren't on sale! lol..or atleast here in the Ajax branch.
