i see...i guess i'll delay the fin haha
question to CAI users, do you have a hydroshield with it?
im scared that if i install it then rain or snow will cause some problems

Don't have one on mine. But I don't plan on driving through any deep enough puddles anytime soon. Plus for me the CAI comes off during the winter. Car is going stock after the C7 Cruise.......

I would however recommend one...

its a great safety feature and it doesnt harm performance that much. But I have talked to dozens of engineers. It takes a lot to hydrolock your engine.
Even in a heavy down pour, splashing around. it takes alot of force to pull air up.
Your safe.

But the shield does provide safety and peace of mind and costs I think something like 20 or 30 bucks.

I have had my intake for a year and bit and I just oil it and run it thats it
