Ralliart Side Skirts

Hey guys,

I drive a 09' Ralliart. Love the car
It drives like a Hummer in the snow, but doesn't seem like the durability holds up the same. I was having a bit too much fun in the snow and some ice ended up cracking my right side skirts. I don't think it can be repaired cause all the clips in the middle have broken off. It's hanging on for dear life by only the front and the rear clips that have not broken.

I talked to Mike at Markham Mits and it's $771 for just the right side skirt
and $540 for left AND right side skirts (cheaper as a combo?)
And it'll be approximately $250 for labour to install

Now to me.. this seems a bit much. I have looked into after market side skirts to replace but there doesn't seem to be any. Unless I am not looking hard enough

So the question I got for y'all is anyone know a place where I can get after market skirts or OEM skirts that is relatively cheaper than what the dealership will charge?

Thanks for the help in advance

-Wes

PS - Yes I have thought about just going skirtless but it makes me feel too naked

Don't go skirt-less, then it will look uneven. Might be better off finding aftermarket side-skirts, that line up well with the stock bumpers.

I agree something is a little off, but to be honest, its not really the dealerships fault totally. Unfortunately for Mitsubishi, they still do not have their own distribution network in Canada. The project of building a new HQ and centralized warehouse system has been halted twice to make way for other things Mitsubishi North America thinks are a higher priority.

So the majority of OEM stuff sits in a USA warehouse, if its not there, then it is shipped from JAPAN, then its distributed to USA networks first (priority) and then they service the need of Canadian dealer networks. Its improved recently slightly, equalizing the priority to first come first serve. But the main point is, there is a double cost shipping to USA (customs) then into Canada (customs / tax again). It just doesnt make sense.

In some cases, your better off spending money and going aftermarket at the end of the day. Cause you will end up with something better and / or visually appealing that you want.

I have Tarmac Black

The person who I spoke to said $771 for one side skirt. $540 is factory painted for both left and right skirt. Cheaper as a set I guess...

It's not too bad, better than going through insurance or something ... you're not gonna be able to find aftermarket sideskirts for the Ralliart anyways... I say bite the bullet and get it for 540 and install it yourself.. the sideskirts are not hard at all to install

Wouldn't ALL of the aftermarket lancer sideskirts fit the RA??? I don't think there is a difference there...

but you know how it is. in scarb mitsu their asking $60+ per hour for the labour depending on what they need to fix. when i got my front scratch their charging me $900+ to repaint. there is no damage on the front just a few scratches(which i still have to prof. fix. LoL) when i looked at the break down its $80 for the labour and it shows that they need to work on it for 3 hours.

Get them to change the fog lights... its the best price ever. Nyahahaha.

Yeah I'm in no rush to replace the side skirt. Just let me know if yours become available, I can take it off your hands.
