Flash Dyno Day

Tentative Flash and dyno days has been for January 30th 2010. At:

Four Star Motorsports Inc

*THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT EVERYONE THAT IS PARTICIPATING IN THIS NEED TO SHOW UP ON FRIDAY JANUARY 29 SO WE CAN READ YOUR ECU AND BUILD A FILE FOR YOUR CAR*

They use a Dyno Dynamics and can do AWD cars as well. That is the perfect Dyno as it is probably the most accurate Dyno on the market.

The total cost will depend on how many guys we get We need a minimum of 10 guys. *We are also offering this to the Mazda owners as well*

Target vehicles are:

Lancer Ralliart 2.4
Eclipse 2.4/3.8
Galant and Galant Ralliart 2.4/3.8

We have not had a chance to look at the 4b11/12 yet.

Costs are as follows:

Dyno rental for the day is $800 that will be evenly divided among the guys/gals participating so the more the better.

Reflash 365+GST (reg price is 550+GST) Dyno is 100 IF we get 8 cars.

A deposit of 250 NEEDS to be in by the 25th and the remainder on the day of the dyno.

I have heard good things this is why i contacted them...Its been difficuly digging up guy that are interested in this as most dont believe that the 04-06 ralliart can now be reflashed and that Hackish can do custom turbo tunes as well.

Within the next month or two I will be renting the dyno for a day or so to get some numbers down for the hardware we are reviewing.

I will try to spectate if that is allowed at your event

Sorry for the late response, waiting on the confirmation from some AMS and ETS hardware, as well as the much anticipated INJEN Cold air test for the EVO X. A few other vendors are throwing their name out there for a Exhaust show down but the sticking issue is logistics. once it cross the border it makes no sense shipping it back, so we have to figure out if the hardware is going to be sold for charity or something.

But I will for sure come to your dyno day because I might pay to test the new tires for unsprung weight gain.

We read the gts rom there are alot of similarities. we have one guy here in Ottawa that will get it done so we will have a definition for it.

Update

We now have the definitions for the 4b11 and 4b12. We will have a flash ready but some tuning will be required.

hell, just getting a USA flash , will make the car normal. Canadian ECU is F'd up.

I am interested, all fo a sudden. But the cost is killing me. No way I'll have that money this January with all the other things I plan on getting. T.T

sorry for being a noob. but what exactly does a flash do? is it like tuning your car?
another question, I have a Injen Cai on my car and i just took off my Hks high power exhaust. But for some reason my car seems faster without the exhaust. Is it because my car needed to be tune? how does that exactly work and what will the cost be?

As we do not work with the US cars it would be interesting to see if there is a difference and if there is how much of a difference.

At 400 it is cheaper than a piggy/install and tune. I am sure that when you are ready we can do something for you.

We all start somewhere glad to see you are part of the tuning crowd. As far as the exhaust goes that could be the issue all cars will react differently to different mods. If you take away back pressure you can loose torque and you will have to re tune the engine to make up for that. The ecu reflash does exactly that, tune for your mods.

I would appreciate whatever you can offer.
If I am allowed to pay you at a later date (ie: mid February), I would appreciate that.
Otherwise, I'm scrounging around as we speak! ^_^ d
