I think there should be a sticky of reputable places in the GTA that specialize in certain out of warranty items we need. Right now i'm looking for a good cost effective Stereo sales/install shop, an Exhaust specialist to repair my leak near my header, and a good body shop that can fix my bumper crack without A: Telling me to buy a new bumper like the dealer wanted, or B: Overcharging me for what should be a simple job. Anyone have any places they somewhat trust in the GTA? Hell, I drive to Newmarket to get my service/installs done at Simone Performance. Why? They are fast, and friendly, and i value good customer service.

 

I am interested in that information.

Its a good idea. Anyone interested in owning that thread and updating it regularly (seriously) We can set up a criteria. maybe certain amount of 1up makes it on to the list. Rather a list built on countless experiences by multiple owners. make sense?

I have heard good things about unibody from multiple owners on here. I vote for Four Star Motorsports for tuning, (Frank is a legend). SpeedStar and S&S Fabrication in Barrie.

Unibody Collision is pretty good. Quick replys through email and reasonable price. +1 from me.

 

what would be even better is putting the evom names of the people recommending it. that way people can immediately reference the members about the shop.

 

my buddy is opening his own place, doing body work and what not, he can help you out guys, good guy to deal with and he will make the price much lower than competition, he just did my buddy's car, he had 2 rear fenders rusted pretty bad, he welded new metal (not just send it down) plus painted it, all for $400, he is located near john and leslie, if anyone is interested msg me and ill give you his phone number, call him up for a quote. If you'll find a cheaper place, tell him how much others are asking and he will beat the price for sure

 

We definitely need a list of good garages, stores, etc. to goto. Infact I started this thread here previously asking the same question.

So far my dealership experiences have been nice... but I don't feel like paying dealer $$$ for regular service.

-1 for speedstar they took for ever to let me know my rims came in and i was suppose to get free lug nuts and im still waiting on those. not to mention i had to drive up there so many times to sort things out. they even told me they had my lug nuts and when i drove there from mississauga i got there and they said their not for your car but you can sell them. what a horrible place. All their stuff is overpriced anyways.

+1 for unibody auto collision i have dealt with them on my 350z and they did an amazing job. They even messed up my lip by not painting it black but as soon as i told him they messed up he fixed it right a way no hasle at all. my 350z is featured on their site on the bodykits section under nismo.
