New 2012 charger with evo styling? lol
Dodge no longer cares about Mitsubishi
Don't question SRT guys.....they literially invented the word fanboy. I am just sitting back and judging as if I don't own an evo or the charger. He's right tho..mitsu did made a cheap immitation of Audi but not the exterior! just look how close our gauge cluster looks like the audi A3s...but of course 10x cheesier looking

Yeah... the EVO styling did basically take the Audi front grille and turn it upside down... but the overall Mitsubishi styling package is way more aggressive.
This Charger EVO X... I mean Charger SRT-8 has multiple styling cues from the EVO X. And it's not just EVO guys that are saying this. Drivers of all different types of cars are pointing out the similarities between the two.

I'm not saying they don't look similar. The Evo X also has styling cues from Audi, and from the Ford Focus and the BMW 3-series. That doesn't mean they're trying to look like those cars, just that trends tend to move through the industry. The character line on the side of the Evo X is from the 3-series, the whole "Chris Bangle" design motif.
The only part I can see where the Charger resembles the Evo is the blacked out front bumper, the sides look nothing alike. The Charger's door scalloping doesn't extend into the fender like the Evo X and it doesn't have vents on it. The headlights are mildly similar, but they're also just a slight "evolution" of the 2006-2010 headlights.
The first thing that popped into my head when I saw the 2012 Charger SRT-8 was "Evo" too, but I realize it's only because of the front end paint job, with that front bumper painted it wouldn't have ever crossed my mind.
I'm not biased about the looks of either car, I'll probably own both next year, and I don't care what other people think of my taste in cars. I didn't say either car looked better, so stop trying to make it look like I'm a Dodge fanboy. I had an Evo and I'll have another one, and I'll have another SRT-8 too.

I don't know how you got all those other cars that you claim the EVO bit styling from. The only ones I see are... the front grille is an upside-down Audi grille... and the tail lights are very Lexus IS-ish. The big front grille theme is being done by a lot of cars now tho.
As for the Charger SRT-8. The side character line is a huge rip off of the EVO X... and it doesn't look much at all like the door lines in the old school Charger. On the EVO X the character line on the side of the car is like that because they extend from the front wheel vents. The Charger has the same lines... but they just start at some random point in the front door.
And in this angle especially it looks like an EVO from the front. It really doesn't look much at all like the other versions of the Charger. And there's not much "Chrysler" about the styling.

Well I can sorta see the old school charger's double "C" translated into the new charger...but regardless of origin / intension, it still kinda looked like the evo. I am not hating at all and I think the charger actually looks more mean with the evo style cues.
Ok you probably won't believe me even when I show you, but the "character lines" thing is all over the industry, the Evo X isn't hardly the only car with them. Note the resemblance of the character line and front door fender vent on the Focus?
The Charger's is one of the ONLY ones that does NOT extend into the front fender, it doesn't "randomly" stop somewhere on the door, it stops on the front door like the 1968 Charger did.
BMW 3-series

Ford Focus

I'm not saying Mitsu ripped off any cues from BMW, Ford, or Audi, just that trends happen. The trends for sporty performance sedans right now is the catfish blacked out mouth on the front end, and character lines are all around on tons of cars, like the Evo X.
So I maintain my point, it's mainly the blacked out from bumper beam that draws immediate comparisons to the Evo X, for the 2012 SRT-8. I agreed it even made me think that, but it's really the main and almost only thing that does make me think that.

Lol, thanks, I'm not trying to be a fanboy here, I LOVE both cars. I seriously want an Evo X MR or SE for track duty... but I kinda want to upgrade to a new SRT-8 with all the adaptive suspension, heated and cooled cupholders, etc. etc.... dilemmas. =]
