Spotted by a co-worker:



According to this story, the CHP bought 88 Dodge Chargers, 79 for undercover use and 9 for training in Sacramento... But this marked Charger was seen in San Diego, so maybe they're expanding the use of the Chargers.

 

We've got a few of those in NW Arkansas --- the officers are proud of them, too (I doubt they'd try to PIT anyone).

Several here too. The weird thing is they've been buying Toyota Camry's around here too.

PIT=Precision Immobilization Technique, or spin them out

 

ive seen these in the Poway, SoCal Area...

 

MD State Police has an undercover one that is all black. Pretty badass looking. You can't even tell until the lights are turned on.

 

PIT = Parallel Immobilization Technique, Pursuit Intervention Technique, Parallel Immobilization Technique, and Precision Intervention Tactic....most commonly used...

When the cop car hits/bumps into the rear of the car they are pursuing inducing a spin and hopefully stop the pursuit from continuing.
