I see you made up your mind... it's what I was going to say anyways.

When's the last time you actually overwhelmed the stock Brembo brakes??? You'd notice the better turbo much more!

How much does an FP Red install cost here anyways?

While I'm asking... has anybody here really felt the stock brakes weren't good enough? What were you doing when they "let you down"?

The stock brakes are pretty good. Even in lots a reviews of the evo they comment on how good the brakes are and that they dont fade like other cars

just get new brake fluid and pads and you should be fine for the brake side.

I got SS brake lines for about $100...F and R Ferrodo 2500 pads for like 285 from ravspec....I recommend you just get fluid, pads and ss lines if needed.....but for pads go for PMU...its JDM ..ur rotors are probably fine since you hardly drive your car...and for that matter so are your pads...so do you really need anything??

exactly why i had to switch mine..mine were a tad warped, pads glazed like crazy, had a nice 1/8th wear lip on rotors and all i do is DD and 1/4 let alone track yet

Sure the stock pads/rotors are fine for 99% of the people who drive this car, but for those who like to take it to the limit they are not safe enough.

Id do a basic brake upgrade Stoptech or DBA if u can afford, as well as the turbo upgrade in conjunction. pads/rotors u can get for 1000$

I already have brake fluid and SS lines but still doesn't help. I have only 7k miles on the X and alot of them were driving it home from the states and driving to the track lol
but most of the driving will be on the track. I bet by next winter I still have well under 18k miles on it. But think for sure I should get brakes. Rotors will be fine for this yr
I really want to join time attack but won't do that well with stock pads/ rotors and full weight. Maybe I'll wait a yr or 2 and gut the he'll out of it and get it race ready not my DD and will never be
