Has anybody done it here?

I'm seriously considering it. My budget is pretty tight with tuition and what not, this seems to be a pretty decent way to give me a little more power. This would seem to keep the dealership happy too.


Suggestions?

You can get the Pill @ Ultimate-Racing .. they are located in Toronto .. i have a new boost pill somewhere at home. If i ever find it you can have it for free lol.

And not to be rude, Theres a 110+ thread on the basemap itself I don't see why you'd have to look elsewhere for opinions.

Well, I dont see the difference between local and other people who have posted in there. There have been people who have commented about cold-weather issues, and Bryan tweaked it and so on so forth. He seems to be updating it, improving it everytime. There's people with similar or worse weather conditions that have used it and more than likely posted in there. I donno, I just dont see you getting much more out of it

 

And maybe I didn't want to dig through 110 pages. =P.

Not hating, just doesn't make sense to me for a bunch of threads on the same topic, if one already has what they are looking for. You can read like the first few pages, and the last few pages and get an idea...

 

I did, I read the first 20, and back 20.
I simply was just asking the club if anybody has done it and their experiences. Nothing else.

What are the advantages using a different pill?

 

i think it allows for increased boost and therefore moar powhar.
one question, might be silly, would an EBCS be even better? would control boost and no need for a boost pill or any of this thing, right?

 

thats what i was thinking. i just bought a grimmspeed 3port for $100 + shipping. its super cheap for how amazing they are.

 

I bought the GM EBCS, apparantly one of the best. 29+tax @ GM dealer and 20 bucks for the harness online. Haven't installed it yet but its getting tons of rave-reviews

 

Yup I have it! Certainly wakes the car up a LOT. I would say it is definitely worth the few bucks it costs. It doesn't really improve on top end , though, as the turbo just cant create more boost beyond a certain point, but it for sure has more torque. I ordered my pill from GST directly, just to ensure it is to the same spec as their tune. Laksman is right, it is a very small item, so keep your OEM one in a safe place in case you need warranty work done.
