Is it me...or is it my clutch??

The car shifts butter smooth from 2nd to 3rd to 4th to 5th.....butter meaning effortlessly smooth..no clutch pick up jerkiness. I hope it's the hot weather thats causing this, or it could the drag r*ce i had with an STI the other day...

So any GSRs feeling extra buttery smooth gear shifts?

not grinding.... my car's at 48k. You know when you do quick shifts and releasing the clutch quickly, it usually gives a slight rock or "jerk". I've been doing quick shifts today and yesterday and the jerk is completely gone...the car goes in 1st to 2nd with no jerk...2nd to 3rd no jerk....I don't know if it's smooth because of the hot weather heating everything up or it's my clutch getting weaker.

I have an VIII, but can tell you with the warmer weather my car shifts smooth. When the trans fluid is cold it's notchy and jerks between shifts like a biotch. You should be fine.

Hey Drew, With the warmer weather now, your fluids are usually always warmed up and good to go. That seems to be the main cause as we have had a few calls in about the same situation your describing. Your GSR is fine however but keep an ear out for knocking sounds that dont sound normal from day to day use. A quick inspection might also be an alright idea!
