Corporate Bread Crumbs – The Mitsu Eclipse may live to fight another day.

People have jumped up and spit out their morning coffee in shock when Mitsu VP spoke about the Eclipse coming back, but in a different form. This is been something kinda talked about sometime ago. Stepping up the game of the eclipse. But problem is, Mitsubishi has not finalized its automotive path. So to throw the eclipse back on table may not be worth while if they are going to throw the design under a bus and make something people dont want.

Should they bring it back? YES! But… Do it right. Pay homage to the history of the car and give it what everyone from all the way back to the DSM days think would be right. GIVE IT A SOUL, AND GIVE IT ***** lol sorry aka a Turbo

We might not need to finish covering this grave after all

so how does throwing a high hp sports car into the mix going to help in their fuel efficient stance?

Many Companies have already done it with tweaking their engines. Mazda is Introducing SKY engines that will give the 3 30% better fuel economy than it already has. Hyundai has their Hybrid`s, Honda has Insight and CR-Z, Nissan Leaf...

Mitsu Is hoping the I-miev is going to make a big impact....We`ll see

Or maybe there taking a page out of Porsche's handbook. Didn't Porsche develop a hybrid version of the 911 GT3 RS? (Or was that just a concept). But who says you can't put out a high horsepower car and have it be a hybrid. If they did that............Booya......

Man i wished they brought back the 2 door AWD turbo eclipses of the 90's, that era was just too good. 3000GT VR4 was such an awesome idea.
