I talked to the service manager there when I was getting my car serviced. He told me that the car has either a written off or totaled title, or something similar. He said they wouldn't touch it for warranty work. I'd be very cautious if you're considering purchasing this car, I've seen it in person several times.

I know cars from Quebec can be recertified in Ontario if they were written off or totaled title. I may be wrong.

Apperently Carfax for Canadian cars from Quebec may not catch this.

Hey guys, I really appreciate the help and info. This car is starting to sound waaay too sketchy for my liking.
Stolen? Totalled? Service manager says one thing, Sales says another...they should have at least got their stories straight before trying to sell it.
I don't need those kind of headaches. At best I think I'll try a crazy low offer , otherwise I'll move on and find another one.

Don't get scared off... there's a LOT of speculation in this thread. Just take your time and find out the TRUTH before doing anything. Imagine if there was a perfectly good car here... and you missed out on it because of "internet ramblings". Just check it out. If it happens to be stolen... or totalled... then fine walk away from it. But atleast make sure that's the case first.
