I take it I am not the first to be screwed by them? I would love to hear other stories from them.

They lied to me 3 times. Complete BS to deal with. I would never as much as order parts from them again! Car is currently at Dixie. At least they were nice. Looks like i will probably still have to pay but rather give them my money then the crooks at Erin mills

Wait until you hear about Christx's story how they wouldn't warranty his Evo X's rear diff sweating due to "no previous service records" when the vehicle was driven by and belong to the president of that very same dealership.

Cracks me up every time at the stupidity.

To put it elegantly, they suck. I had issues there with the mechanics, sales staff and former general manager.

I will keep my fingers-crossed for you that the bill from Dixie doesn't end up being too high.

well I would get an estimate on paper before proceeding. Get a comparable quote at another mitsu dealership. make a decision and make sure not to pay more than 10% over the estimate when the car is done. The law is there to protect you.

Hmmm, and the car was purchased used from Erin Mills, correct? If so, did they provide you with any service records at the time of sale?

The reason I ask is that I bought my car used from Erin Mills, and other dealers have been able to verify the Mitsu dealer service performed on the car by the previous owner. I also had my Warranty Service booklet updated by Scarborough (back when they had a good Service Advisor).

Was your car dealer serviced? (and I'm not saying dealer service is good by any stretch of the imagination, but if you can find a paper trail, use it)

Sorry Car was bought private off of kijiji 2 months ago. The previous owner is a mechanic and did his own oil changes so no receipts provided. No paper trail.

Erin mills said they would not help me without receipts. Dixie has informed me that the motor failed due to dirty oil. Not sure i can dispute that one. Seems like an easy blanket statement

@Leo,

Just curious, who were you dealing with at EMM? Jeff (The guy service manager) or the ice queen service advisor?

Wow I that's the best thing to ever happen to EM. When did she get the boot? She was still there last time.

I'm still skeptical of continuing service there...though they have treated me well and everything and I've had no issues.
I just don't want to be stabbed in the back when suddenly my exhaust is the root of all problems when something DOES go wrong.

If Dixie is going to be more supportive of my car then I will gladly give them my service.
