Rotors

Hey guys,

Time to change brakes and rotors...ive already bought the stoptech brake pads....now im looking for what rotors to buy.

Or do you guys recommend just resurfacing or stock ones....i only do street driving, nothing super agressive....current rotors have 75k on them.

I bought all new. Mine is a daily driver with no tracking, but some really curvy & aggressive street driving. I went with slotted rotors.

Which ones in particular do you recommend? If you got a link or product number that would be awesome to.

For an 09 GT....i keep wondering what class I fall under....es,ds ones or GTS....or does it matter.

I'm not a brake guru like some of the folks on here, so I can't really recommend anything, and I don't know what class you'd be. Sorry, just not knowledgeable enough to answer that one for you.

As for what I got, I can't find my receipt & can't remember exactly, but I think I got the Power Slot:

I bought from one of the regular online places (like lancershop) & they were having a sale on them.

I've put about 15k on them & they've been great so far.

Just get stopteck powerslot rotors. Thats what I have along with stopteck pads and love em. Go with all new. OEM rotors dont do well with aftermarket pads

If your brake rotors are fine don't bother changing them. You don't need to change your brake rotors just because you change your brake pads.

Just picked up a decent set. Stop tech pads were 120 and stop tech slotted and drilled rotors for 280. Gonna be heading down to Buffalo next week to pick them up and install them down there....just gotta find a shop that will do it.
