Window Tinting Question

I am about to get my windows tinted and I have a question about it. I was wondering how many guys have had the strip removed that causes the scratches and how big of a gap it really is when its removed. If someone could post some pics that would be really appreciated.

If you bring your car to an experienced tinter there shouldn't be any scratch or gap

yeah. I have the smallest, almost hairline gap. It's not even really noticeable.

i'm still not entirely sure what you mean, but i believe the answer is it was trimmed to fit (scored at the top of the window)

If you're referring to the strip inside the frame that 'cleans' the glass but etches your tinting, as of 2012 they've added an extra felt layer to the original piece on the inside.

Shouldn't be a problem anymore, afaik.
