Ok i finally got mines... now i got my ecu done with a mail-in flash but it wasn't done with the cams as a mod... the ? is... can i put in the cams now and wait till i come down to dallas in december to get the car tuned, and if its done will i be hurting anything or.. should i wait till i get to dallas get em put in and then tuned.... which will probably cost me money to get em done and then tuned

i was gonna put them in myself (well with some help). so im trying to find out whats the best way to do this

mine are in without extra tuning and you seen how it runs so the answer is yes you can install them safely but it may run a little rich till you get it retuned ps give me a call at home.

 

Rich or lean?

 

i wouldn't do it..... 272's are an agressive cam and without a tune i wouldn't risk it.

 

RICH CALL mark and ask most people think they will go lean but think more air more fuel that is what the mass air is for mine is rich it will kick a little fuel out the exhaust(smoke) sense the cams and not retuning.

 

Don't you think the smoke out the back is not due to being rich but so lean it is pulilng timing and therefore not completely burning the mixture?
