It would be even sweeter still if we could get Mark to do a Texas round up around the same time he is in San Antonio. No reason to double back to Texas a few months apart.

I've been wishy-washy lately, but would kill for a early to mid afternoon FIS date on a Friday! Let me know!

It really depends on when Mark has time and if we can get enough people together to make it worth his while. Who else would be interested in a FIS tuning weekend in McKinney again?

Guys,

If this does not work out I still have a couple spots left on Saturday. I am kind of looking forward to a street tune myself. Dyno numbers are nice to have, but I am wondering what kind of difference it will make when the car is tuned in a multitude of driving situations. Third gear is fast as hell in my car, but fourth and fifth are a little weak. When I used to drive my old MR2 turbo it felt the same in every gear after being street tuned. I guess I will find out in July. If anything you guys should cruise down for the free food.

At this point I need a dyno tune... Both a street tune and a dyno tune have their pluses and minuses depending on the tuner and his tools.

I maybe interested in that 5pm slot if I can't hook up with Mark at FIS.

I've only used the mustang dyno at FIS, so i'm curious what kind of gains I got by adding the new parts. I also have to have Mark re-flash me for them.

First round with Mark, I got 333whp and 317ft lbs on that same dyno with a stock turbo "conservative daily driver tune". If I can get back on it with Mark, I expect another 40 to 50whp (depending on the heat) at the least... Of course I can't tell how, until after the results.

i am scheduled for july 9th in san antonio.. I have to go and tune a car in st croix at some point this month, and i'll be in maimi tuning july 1st.. This month is crazy for me. Unfortunately i cant book a trip for a couple of people. I dont think san antonio is far. Zues dont you live up that way ? I know you want a tune sooner then later. July 9th is not far off ..

Yes Mark, Z-E-U-S (sorry pet peeve) does live closer to San Antonio than FIS... However, since FIS's dyno is not in San Antonio, I'd have to turn around and drive back up to FIS the next day (where I'm going to end up regardless, since it was the last place I dyno'd) to get the "numbers" that the kids so love. If I were having the car tuned just for my own purposes, I might have never ventured on to the dyno in the first place...

BTW Mark... you have a PM...

I'm not in a huge hurry, my car is running fine. August, September, October...I don't care WHEN it is. I think with a far enough advance, we can get enough of the Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana etc. people signed up for a dyno tune at FIS. If not, I'm ok with running the way I am.

Looking back on that, it was not meant to be harsh... I'm just a "matter of fact" individual for the most part. This late in the game, I'd expect to probably see Mark in SA at the earliest...

I would rather go to FIS in McKinney then drive all the way to San Antonio, because the drive is a lot shorter but i'm not complaining I'll take a tune wherever i can get it

Before I get people's hopes up, I'd like to know for sure if Mark will come down and how many people we need. I'm pretty sure we can get quite a few. Also, an rough estimate on a date that he has available.
