As i was driving the entire 3 hrs i did NOT notice any peculiar sign until approx 3 mi
prior to arrival at tt when my Oil Lamp sign lit up, i thought oil is leaking.

Upon inspection by Mark and Jeff (thanks), found out oil drain plug was gone and seems my car was leaking along the way, but i guess not until the last 3 miles
when plug completely came off. The undercarriage and rear end completely coated
w/ Amsoil.

I replace it w/ mobil 1 (5 qt.) and the guys was testing the car for any knock or engine damage which at that time no objectifiable findings noted.
however, based on tt experience w/ this motor they are 90% sure that damage
has been done.

So, i drove the car back home conservatively, trying to listen for any knock,
so far so good but apaarently it might take some time to find out.

I spoke to the shop that did my oil change, He believe that if there is damage to the bearings or cams, iwouldnt be able to drive 187 mi coming home, He thinks that plug was loose when he put it back and he wanted me to observe any different w/ the cars performance then notify him and go from there.

I intend to put 500 mi this wk. and see what happened.
To tt thank you for your assistance, i'll be back next time to proceed with
the plan.

Tommy.
What, you don't like us anymore? J/K. But seriously, what shop did you take it too? I would go back and let them know what happend and see what they're going to do about it. Bring the car to us when you have a few hundred miles on it so we can do a oil analysis to see the extent of the damage that could have been caused.

Its not that i dont like you guys... just so busy coming from vacation..that oil change need to be done ASAP.
I wish had waited after tt tuning, but anyways i was just thinking about it maybe one of this day you guys can take oil sample for analysis.
Regarding the shop, they usually good taking care of my Audi and BMW that is why i let them touch my car rather than jiffy lube.

thats the worst. give ur car to a mechanic because you figure theyll do the job right, and then u relize u couldve and shouldve done it yourself. i know what u mean with ur busy schedule and all but it may have been worth it to take the time and learn to do it yourself.

Don't sweat it. Your motors fine. If there was any damaged done . It would've presented itself already.

If you really want to check it for damage. Pop the valve cover out and check your cam bearings for scratches. This would be the last place to be lubricated.

It's cool I was just messing with ya. Call me and we'll get you in here for a oil analysis, but you should be OK. Synthetic oil does wonders when this type of sh*t happens

So far no change in quality of performance no knocking sound, i put down total 1000 mi on it, went back to turbotrix for alky kit install past wk. end.

TT guys said i must have been lucky. only thing i can attribute it is from Amsoil .
Anyways, im not so lucky about this alky kit from SMC, the control apparently(per Jeff) is not working properly. i have to send it back, so, theirs additional 400 mi in my motor.

Meanwhile, im running out of time for this wk end evo vs sti event.
