It might depend on the correction factor. People need to post their charts when making dyno claims. For whatever reason, a lot of people recently have just been posting their numbers without charts, which doesn't help us much, since peak numbers aren't as important as the entire area under the curve. Those numbers are higher than all of ours, but they are very consistent with what TT sees on their dyno.

Yah, there's no lying going on I'm sure - we just need to see the graphs for education/comparison purposes.

That number refers to the smoothing. Correction type is either Uncorrected, STD, SAE, DIN, EEC, or JIS. In one of the recent TT dyno threads in Evo General, STD was used. On my graph, that adds 1whp/1wtq to the Uncorrected numbers, but my correction factor was STD 1.00, and the number changes depending on the conditions.

You're really not going to get the full effect of any intercooler on a dyno. They do use big fans to aid cooling and simulate moving through air, but I don't think it's quite the same as driving. And yeah, the guys at Turbotrix are a kickass bunch.

Frm what I heard thru the grapevine, the dyno at Turbotrix reads average. The dyno at pruven is the highest reading dynojet in the country. The dyno that Warrtalon and the VA/DC guys go to read below average.

corret me if Im wrong but thats what I have heard from the guys here....

That does kind of seem to be the case, but another part is that Al only used uncorrected, TT uses STD (so it seems), and we use SAE. If everyone would provide the runfiles, then it wouldn't matter what each shop uses as a default, because then we could compare them using any correction factor we want. Plus, there's no reason for our Dynojets (we have 3 that we use) to read lower except for the one at MachV, which has two 424x rollers instead of one 424x and one 448x like many places. The same-weight 424x roller setup SUPPOSEDLY causes lower readings, since the rollers weigh less (less load?). I don't understand the physics/dynamics behind it, but we have a lot of cammed cars only put down 300whp at MachV for some reason, yet they trap 111-113mph at the track.

To us, TT reads high, but that's only in comparison to us really. I don't think it really reads higher than it's supposed to.
