Very nice numbers for your VIII and wow, what can I say about the IX, that much power with a catback is truly amazing, that's got be one of the highest I've seen with those combination of mods.

The IXs are making more power, because the tuning is getting better

Hey Steveo,

Im new to the site and to the Evo world, but i have been lurking around for a few weeks and have been looking for a post/thread just like this.

I just bought an Evo 9 this monday and have some serious plans for it - plans that include taking it to TurboTrix as well.

I wanted to ask what makes/models of parts your buddy used on his car to acheive these power numbers. Will the brand of parts make a big difference? I am partial to HKS (i love jdm tuners) and was wondering what you (And TurboTrix) thought about doing ALL HKS parts to my 9.

Also, approx. how much did these mods + tune cost? If you dont feel comfortable posting it, shoot me a PM if you want.

Thanks for the info. and good luck with the cars.

Good numbers for both cars. You should, based on the dynographs, be able to pull on him. Your power stays flat to redline while his dropps off. With a downpipe it will be different however. Get a race in to see the difference if you can, lol on the track of course.

The numbers are great not to take anything from them but they are uncorrected whp . check them against Sae they will be at least 10whp lower but more accurate numbers.
