rev lemiter question after flash please read!!!

Hey guys this might sound stupid but when i talked to mike he said my reflash would raise the limiter to 7800 well my car it pops slash cuts out right about half way in between 7 and 8k rpms. Is this normal. THe guys that are flashed can you go up to 7800k. I know its kinda hard to tell becuase there are no hash marks but it doesnt get close to 8k. Thanks for the info

Matt

Mark set mine at 8000. You can ask him to set it where you want it.

well i know mike told me mine would be set at 7800 but its not. IM not mad about it actually im really happy with the flash but the rev limiter got me confused. Plus if its not set there for me to send my ecu to them and back its 110 bucks. And just for that its not worth it.

The Tach is "slow", meaning it's probably set to 7800. The engine might be at 7800 but the tach says 7500.

One way to test it....

hindle is right.. if you want to see what its at, try and slowly accelerate instead of just flooring it..

I had asked for the limiter set to be set at 7800 but after pulling the flash it was left stock, 7606.

StiKiller, they confirmed the actual rev limiter using the EcuFlash cable and software. You can't really tell by looking at your tach.
