how much boost is everyone seeing on there 50 trim without a boost controller

I have a greddy profec b and im seeing 23psi up top with it turned all the way down, im not sure if it still have some effect then. Just curious to what everyone else is seeing. I just added zeitronix w/ their map sensor to read boost its suppose to be really accurate. My old gauge was reading a little lower.

The tial 44mm wg's they supply with their 50 trim kits gives minimum boost of 23 psi. Which in the winter can be bad do to the denser air you will boost higher. If you want to lower your wastegate pressure you will have to take it off the car. There are 2 springs in side color coded, go to tials site to give you the rates. I remove 1 of the 2 springs and got down to about 14 psi on just the wastegate and then turn it up from there w/ the ebc.

When taking it apart be very careful, loosen the allens in a star pattern evenly or you will damage it. Long story short there are two springs, take one out, lower the waste gate pressure

The Tial 44mm provided in the Turbotrix 50trim Turbo kit is a 1.3 Bar so that equals to 19.11 psi, thats exactly what my car had before starting to mess with the Hallman.

It would be insane to run 23 psi on a untuned car, unless you want your engine to blow away due to detonation.

For more information call Mike the Madman @ Turbotrix Racing, he will explain to you all you need to know and even sell you a MBC if needed. But with yoru Greddy I dont think you need a MBC, that one works well.

I called about it when I first got my kit, and they said it was odd I couldnt get below 23psi with the bc all the way out. After doing resaerch online at tial and verifying my spring colors it was a min = to 23 psi, maybe cause the climate is warmer you dont see that boost. Disessemble your WG check the spring colors at tial and you will learn something

The higher springs which are the Big Blue & Small Blue are respectively:

Big Blue 1 bar
Small Blue .6 Bar

Equals to 1.6 Bar
On a 38mm wastegate it equals to 23.20 psi
On a 44mm wastegate it equals to 20.25 psi

Any more questions? Before you got your 50trim I was playing with External Wastegates on my Old Subaru and my Stock Turbo EVO with a DNP manifold with 44mm Wastegate please experience is better than reading and posting without actually doing things.

Thanks

Enjoy and this time, you should check first 38mm is not the same as a 44mm wastegate.

My cars awlays been tuned. I just thought my boost was around 22 until i put my zeitronix in. Ill probably take out one of the springs then just use my ebc to adjust it. My main reason behind this is Im using my zeitronix to flip my ebc off if it senses anything wrong when im on meth, that way it will drop me to a safe level of boost. thanks for everyones input
