You guys went back to a FMIC?

Any particular reason why you dropped the air to liquid?

One reason is that liquid to air was a PITA. Getting/Adding Ice, etc. between passes was annoying. The other reason was that our liquid to air IC was only rated to 700whp and we were making over 900 on it.

Fair enough.

I can see the Getting/Adding ice to be a PITA but have you found that AIT are much different (better/worse).

I would have to assume the water does a much better job because the car doesnt need AIR at low speed, whilst the air to air does? Whilst the AIR to AIR probably does a better job up top where its not acting as a heatsink but actively getting more and more air blowing through it?

The gains from the Air to Air at speed (2nd 1/4 mile) out weighs the losses?

It would be hard for us to do a fair comparison because our liquid to air was only rated for 700hp. It was more of a restriction than anything else.

Right now the car is making about 40 more whp then Brandon's car (06MR). The STI is now running on a new engine mgmt. We had too much trouble with the AEM. The AEM doesn't seem to like STI's
