Just rcvd my TTr built 2.3L
Well, I actually received it on Wednesday which was just in time to wrap it up and put it under the tree, haha. I swear I saw Mark dressed up in a Santa suit dropping it by the house LOL!!!!!
Anyway the motor looks awesome and I can't wait to get it back in the car and get her fired up! I still have a few more parts to get, but it should be done soon.
Now on to the motor,
The head was given the full works. It was ported to the extreme and assembled with bigger valves and dual springs.
The block was assembled with Oliver Rods and Wiseco pistons. It was O-ringed and machined for all the proper clearances.
I am using all ARP hardware (to include their decked out L19 headstuds) to hold it all together.
I plan to run an HTA GT3586R turbo and push it to the max. My power goal for this setup will be 700+whp.
I don't have all the specifics, but I don't mind at all if Keith chimes in if anyone has questions.
Thanks for the great build,
Barry

Thanks for the compliments!
It's no problem. Sometimes it is overlooked.

All the way to central NJ to get a motor built! No-one in NWF good with Mitsu motors??? I'm from Milton but live in NJ and very close to TTR and IveyTune last 5 years. Too bad you only have 1/8 tracks around the house! The 2.3 & 35r is same setup I plan to do....good luck and keep us posted on the progress.

Maybe somene will be generous enough to let Keith use their car to throw my kit on and build me some pipes? Hint, Hint, LOL!
It's ok. I will probably just buy the Full-Race downpipe. I still have to figure out the IC piping. I contacted Full-Race about everything, but I haven't got a reply yet.

I don't really mind the 1/8th mile
. I would probably run out of 4th gear on a 1/4, but I didn't go with the stroker for drag racing (although fun). I wanted a torque monster haha!!Maybe I will go with some different gearing in the future or just drop back down to a 2.0L.
