That is why I'm concerned with the 50trim because it won't pull you out of the corner unless you downshift to first gear.
I know your making some serious power with your 50trim but nothing going to feel like the stock 9 turbo its a damn 20g and thats a big turbo. I have ran cars making more power than me on the 1/4 and on a road course and im pull them 4 cars every time to the big *** turbo kicks in. And i am only making 400whp!!! on 21psi. If its not raining i will be at e town this week Sunday 29th. maybe we can get together bs a little.

Looking at my setup I was in the SAME boat, I had a fully bolt on 50 trim car from AMS with the VSR intake manifold.... I wanted more torque!!

SIMPLY ADD THE 2.3 liter stroker...... You will go crazy when you see how much torque you will pick up and how much quicker the turbo spools..

AutoX will be on Saturday, 28th. I don't do 1/4 mile drag anymore, I haven't even tried my Evo at the strip. AutoX is 100X more fun, trust me.... Why don't you try it this Saturday, an instructor will ride with the novices/first timers which really helps a lot. You will know the limits of your car or yourself...

It not only applies to 50trim but to all the turbos as well. Imagine, if you have an FP Red or HTA35R, once you stroke the engine, it will spool a lot quicker right...

I don't have the OEM manifold. I got it like this. This is Herman's car (old chinese guy), the blue one. You guys did everything on his car.

yes but the lag difference between turbo's will still be difference, and if its torque your looking for the 2.3 will be the difference with your current setup.

You already make good power but per your comment would like more torque.

Thats what I would recommend but good luck with your choice.

I will probably do the stroker. Instead of wasting money getting another turbo, why not spend it on the stroker kit.

Thanks for the advice.

Well I think you could sell your 50 trim and get a BBK Full and have an amazing powerband....

the power band on my evo with what would be his exact setup is pretty sick......

really about 3700 - 8900... I took my stroker probably alittle to far but it held the power very well! What intake manifold are you using, going to switch to E85? Head ported?

It's the 50trim kit by Turbotrix. The head is stock except for HKS 272/272 cams. No plans on switching to E85 'coz I don't know any gas station selling nearby. Still on LOW (23-24 psi) boost for daily driving. I know 50trim is wicked up top but I don't want to rev the engine that high just to be fast.

I was doing it just because.... never said I was smart but I also never had any problems. I only took it up that high if i had too. we have some pretty fast cobra's in the area and my neighbor has a SC 96 cobra that is putting out nearly 500 horse as well.

I would do the stroker, I have the exact same cams as you do.... I would look into a Intake manifold if you don't have one and I would also look at porting the head while your at it.

But you would love the feel of the car with a stroker.

I was running 93 octane and meth as well.... extremly similiar setups my friend
