It does look like the motor hangs low but it does not. The cutout tube actually points upward. We supply a turn down but non shown in the pictures. So the valve motor is actually higher than the main downpipe. The valve sits higher than the rear brace.

Check the main post. Updated with a little intro video on the downpipe.

Thanks.

You should hook up with CVR in NYC as a vendor. He ships to APO's!

The video does no justice on how loud and awesome the sound is, esp at 7000rpm. It's got a really mean throaty sound to it. I try to putt around with the rpms as low as possible in my work garage, and I still set off car alarms (this is 1500-2000rpms!). Power-wise, there's a noticeable increase in power (more significantly so driving at night). You really don't wanna drive with it open for long (30minutes of driving makes your ears a little deafer), which is why this setup is so ideal to me. As soon as I get the rest of the install done, I'll dyno my car, which is close to stock and see what kinda gains I get, open and closed.

is there any leaking with the unit closed?

also what is the diameter of the cutout. According to your website the DP is a full 3" but the cutout opening looks a touch smaller. Its hard to tell from pics which is why I asked.

Shipping is around $20.00

The cutout seals up very well. You will not hear a leak. The butterfly plate is 2.81" and the inside diameter of a 3" tube is 2.85-2.88. Nothing will outflow this set up

Remember that exhaust gasses are also flowing out the other end of the Y-pipe as well.

the cutout seals up pretty well, but despite my my efforts it always seemed to leak a bit, nothing major but it does not seal 100% in my experiance.

No turbulence is created. The cutout area fills with air and becomes like a solid and the exhaust passes right by it with out any turbulence.

And the units seal up very well and do not leak.
