Actually, I was interested in the damper travel, e.g. the damper stroke. Thank you for the height adjustment range though. That's good info too.

The shipping weight for the product is 62 pounds, but that of course includes the packaging material and accessories.

The Japanese R&D department has that info, so I am sorry that I cannot provide you with that.

Can't you grab a front and rear, pull off the springs, measure the length full extended, and then measure the length fully compressed?

I personally would go out and measure that for you, but our R&D department does not wish to make the information public. Im sorry.

Thanks for at least letting me know the situation. Tanabe is not the only company that seems to think shock travel should be some top secret thing. Kinda tough to make an informed decision without that kind of info. Its almost as bad as not being told spring rates.

Thank you for understanding. We have alot invested in the R&D process for the coilovers and we dont want our work used by other companies.

The Pro SEVEN's are actually more of a track oriented coilover than the FIVE's. The SEVEN's have more aggressive springrates, valving, and case length adjustment. If the SEVEN's are ok for daily driving for you then I would stick to those. You might want to look into the TEAS unit. It allows you to make both manual and fully automatic adjustments to the dampening.

not to be a pain but what would the competition have to gain by knowing your overall travel that they couldn't find out with a tape measure on their own?

i could see withholding damper curves, spring rates or propriatry design info, but whats secret about overall travel?

IMO it seems like your more concerned about another manufacturer copying your design than leaving the customer in the dark. don't you think if another company were to copy your design they would just purchase a set & "R.E" them?

i know im in the minority here, but im not going to buy something unless i know what im getting beforehand.

Glad that you're happy with the SEVEN's. As for the SSR wheels we have a ton of different finishes. If you check out our site and click on the different wheels you can actually change the finishes. Also if youre going to be at SEMA please stop by the booth because we will have some new products to display.

We are trying to educate and inform our customers about the products that we produce, thus our involvement with EvolutionM. We are in no way trying to keep customers in the dark, but we have company policies and unfortunately I am not able to answer those questions. Again, I apologize for not being able to provide you with that information.
