Hey adam,

Great product line, is there anyway you can find out if the Motul Gear 300 is
harmful to soft metals, aka brass syncros and what not?

Hi Mike - the gear 300 is designed for use in syrchromesh boxes.

Adam,

So I guess that means that it won't harm yellow metal then?

Adam,

I would really appreciate it if you could. I as a consumer had a difficult time
getting a solid answer from motul on my own. I'm assuming as a vendor you
will have better luck. Some are affraid that being the Gear 300 carries both
gl4 and gl5 ratings they are nervous to run in gl4 transmission. Typically the
additives in a gl5 harm yellow metal. If you can clear this up it would be a
great selling point! Thanks again!!

Definately do find out. I have some Gear 300 waiting to be put in. But I still want to be assured that its not harmful at all. Atleast now I know who to order my Motul stuff from. Any news of how the 90PA is compared to stock Diaqueen?

sorry I have no comparison between diaqueen and the motul

fwiw I run the Motul gear 300 in my 350z transmission and have not had any issues whatsoever - in that community it is very widely used

just comparing some specs on Diaqueen, its an SAE90, GL5 - the same as the Motul 90PA is. Not sure if Diaqueen has any special additives in it or not, but from a cursory look it would appear you can use the Motul as well for the x fer case
