I got a few questions before I commit to a pre-order for the v2 because i do need this kit in my life.

How many more pre orders do you guys need to get this v2 ball rolling? Will it come with the HVAC panel, and is your sales tax only for local NJ customers? I'm not too familiar with tax laws, but I think that companies are only required to collect sales tax for customers which reside in the same state as the business. I live in Alabama so will i still be required to pay NJ state taxes?

+1 on the tax thing. There's no tax on the internet, is there? (unless in state) However, it brings the price up to the 'original' price. At one point i was about to click on the pre-order thing and when the tax came up I went "hmmmm......" and didn't pre-order.

I know it's gotta be tough at this point and Rich has been great about responding to pm's the past couple days, but it's tough to ask consumers to do the investing; when that's the job of investors or a place like crutchfield who could set up a big order to pay for all this initial cost.

If we have something like "We need ______ number of pre-orders to start production on V2", the countdown would really help motivate.

No, you would not be required to pay tax if you reside in AL.

Just bought a pre-ticket.

Still would like to see some kind of countdown though....however vague it would have to be.

For others out there: once you create an account and select ANY other state besides NJ it will automatically remove the $20 tax from your checkout.

....also- after re-reading the page about the "old" kit it says this after the main text:

NOTE: The Orbital Prestige 2-DIN Upgrade Kit will only be available as long as supplies last! Order yours direct, now!

http://www.orbitalperformancesystems...&cat=68&page=1

....that sounded like there were some in stock still.

atleast just give us a number as to how many people need to pre order to get production started. i have the money and have a double din ready to go in but the only thing holding me back is..........damn what if i have to wait months and months for it. if we know how many more orders you need i know you will get more pre orders faster.

another question. after you get all the preorders you need. how long would it take to produce them?
