I was happy with my gen 1 kit, I did have to do substantial modding to the AC component and the cutout around the buttons, and the hot'cold cable to get it to work properly. I think the face where the buttons pop through should be much thinner, and the lower ribbing below the buttons on the piece, should be moved down about 1/8th of an inch, to eliminate the button issue. I cut some of the supports out with a dremel and filed out the hole for the buttons some, and that worked out, but that cable, oh god what a nightmare!

I just set an appointment to get the pieces finished silver like the stock shifter console, and saw this thread. You should make one in the gunmetal color of the mr shifter console. Good luck cant wait to see some pics.

an option for a pre-order ticket has been added to our site with a discount and shipping incentives to anyone within the continental US.

existing orbital customers will have their orbitaltechnik.com user profiles modified by monday and given a substantial discount level towards the pre-order ticket.

we ask all existing orbital customers to please refrain from ordering until then. customers who have ordered with one of our distributors may contact that vendor to obtain a pre-order ticket at the discount.

once again, we're asking distributors to jump onboard with us on this. contact us for more information.

the floor is yours now guys, please support this...once we raise enough to leverage the cost of tooling and revised manufacturing, we will move into the next stage and get one step closer to production. hopefully we can do this in record time - please spread the word in any way possible, everyone!

thanks again for all your support ladies and gentlemen!!

Woot!

O, please let a high quality, OEM looking kit come about! I know I will be hitting the site up Monday... I wanna be in the first batch of new ones!

Will there be a "core" for return of original models, or will it just be a reward for customer loyalty?

Rich, I will have a look on Monday on your site, I hope you kept in mind that I already have spent roughly $300 on this first kit and anything more would be an extra cost to this kit, so we'll see

Rich has kept this in mind and that is why he is offering a discount to previous customers.

absolutely. once i get back into the office on monday i'll tend to all outstanding emails.

as for the phones, i'll tend to them while i'm in the office and try to return past voicemails, but if you don't communicate with me live i suggest sending an email.

What about us people that are buying the kit used because they were so hard to get ahold of?? We do not get a pre order discount just because we did not wait 8+ months between the time we paid vs the time the product arrived?? When i got my car i read 4 threads about how horrible the wait for the current kit was AND that they were currently discontinued, so when i saw one fs on the boards i jumped on it.

If we pre-order this, when will we know when we are supposed to get it? In other words, what is the turn around time expected to be. I think many of us are excited to get this. Would we be talking weeks or months?

Hmmm...maybe you could ask the original purchaser about getting his help??
