Have you guys measured the velocity of air through the head as opposed to just flow compared to the Cosworth? The reason I ask is I am wondering if this head would be good with a Red and 2.3 stroker. Or would this head make the set-up too efficient for a turbo of that size?

Thanks. If I've asked a dumb question, it's because I am not an engineer

WoW...Amazing job none the less. I cant wait to see how my car compairs to the previous time when it was there on the stock head, block, intake Manifol and throttle body. Previous numbers where 511hp/426tq with E85.

Now it will be getting your VSR, CNC Head, 75mm TB, 2.3 Short Block. Any guesses?
I may have to do a C-16 map even

And this was on a fp3065

Hi Martin,

This is unbelievable and will be considering this head for our race car but not to go off topic here, can it be done for a DSM style motor also running the 4202R setup?

You mentioned that dip on the graph was due to the boost feedback control. Again not to go off topic here what boost controller is best to control such a big boost setup?

THanks.

Right now we don't have a CNC program for a DSM head. Unfortunately the process of developing a CNC head is rather costly with first prototyping, testing, then digitizing, finding how bad core shift is and how many heads you break through, all that sort of fun stuff. So in short I don't think we'll be doing a DSM head anytime soon, sorry.

I use the boost control in the AEM EMS and it works very well once it's setup properly. When changing a setup or going to the track it requires a few tweaks to get it spot on but then you can do stuff like boost switches, boost vs. rpm or vs. speed, feedback, ect.

That's insane. Great work guys.

BTW, we have been trying to get a hold of you through emails to setup that tuning trip again that got messed up on our end last year due to unforeseen circumstances.

Martin, nice job and I'll understand if you don't want to completely answer everything, but did you change the valve sizes between the two heads? As far as 'setup' the valves, what seat pressure and max lift pressure did you end up with? I'm assuming that the cams were the same and degreed the same, but gotta ask that too. Again, I can appreciate the work it takes to get these tests completed. I just went through a lot of it my self and I agree, it's not cheap, but if done properly, yields results. Thanks in advance.
