The answer to that one is no.

Nisei Engineering is currently trying to lock down a volunteer in So Cal. This volunteer will be rewarded for the their assistance!

If you know of someone interested contact Nisei or pm us your number and best time to be contacted and we'll have them contact you.

Sorry we couldn't help you out on that one. Soon!

ok so i installed my nisei uicp yesterday and didnt tighten the clamps good so it popped off 2 times. i finally got it tighten enough but i think i lost power.

do you guys think it's because the pipe isnt sealed correctly? i think it might be tight but leaking at the hose.

i know i'm slower then a stock evox at the moment because i cant even beat a 08 wrx with tbe now.

I'm probably going to unplug the battery and power cycle my ecu to let it relearn. I'm also getting hesitation when i mash the pedal down, and it chokes hard at 5krpm and above.

It sounds like a boost leak. I have the Nisei kit for my Evo 8. You have to be careful. I overtightened the t-bolt clamps when I first got the kit, which pinched the silicon couplers. Ended up having to change to heavy duty worm clamps because my overzealous tightening ruined the t-bolt clamps (my fault, not the clamps).

What is the exact weight difference between the Nisei 1018 steel LICP and the 6061 aluminum version (you guys DO have a digital shipping scale, right)?

Also, is the steel piping coated somehow on the inside to prevent rust?

Please PM me pricing on both versions (Nisei black) shipped to 80501... thanks.

Sorry, I forgot my camera so, I got around to get those pix for you. Here is the exaxt difference between the Evo 8/9 Aluminum LIP & 1018 Steel LIP.

Nisei Red = Aluminum (top 2 photos) / Nisei Black = 1018 Steel (bottom 2)

Hope this is what you are looking for.

Let me know if you need anything else.

If this is the kit you have then the Intake only pipe will work (with stock LIP) but, you will have to:

(1) Plug the BOV return on the intake pipe itself.
(2) Place an order for a Intake hard pipe without the return fitting. It can be done Nisei has expressed they would take care of it but, you might have to wait for the color process. Might take up to 2 weeks. If you want to find a plug/cap then it can be shipped same day as order.

Outside of that if you already have a AEM intake kit then you will have to change:
(1) Back to your stock MAF housing.
(2) Trim the AEM housing pipe. Here is a link: http://www.nisei-evo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=632

Some pix for you:

Jedi,

Thanks for the info. Do you have an office number I can reach you at. I have a few more questions and items I need to order from you guys. Shoot me PM. Thanks!
