MAP Introduces New Ported Evo X Intake Manifolds!
As a follow up to our very successful Evolution 8/9 ported intake manifolds MAPerformance has made available the Rev2 and Rev3 ported intake manifolds for the Evolution X platform!
Pricing for this service as the same as the Evo 8/9 platforms at just $249.99 for the Rev2 and $649.99 for the Rev3 plus $90 for our advanced ceramic coating package. This pricing assumes that you will supply a core as Evo X intake manifolds are still very hard to come by

Flow Test Results: Rev3
We have a lot of time invested in the research and development of our intake manifold work, and the EVO X platform is no different.

For starters, this manifold appeared to have a very solid design for an OEM intake manifold. Tapered plenum, decent sized runners, radiused runner entries, and fairly uniform runners as well. We did expect to pickup a few CFM from the work but when we went from 1187CFM total to 1267CFM total AND were able to balance the manifold so that 3 runners were exactly the same and the other just 5cfm behind.... we knew we had something good. For reference, our ported Rev3 intake manifold we offer for the Evo 8/9 had less CFM gain overall, and not nearly as balanced runners, but was still good for 40+ whp on a big turbo
Just imagine what this manifold will do once we are able to put some serious CFM through it!We will be posting more results shortly, but for now here is the flow data:

Dyno Test Results: Stock Turbo
This test was performed at 24 psi on a mildly modified Evo X equipped with the stock turbocharger. Unfortunately the RPM pickup on our dyno wasn't functioning properly the day of the testing so we were only able to obtain HP numbers as a function of speed. The gains are about what we expected as the OEM manifold is a solid design right out of the box, however, we feel that the changes we have made in this Rev3 version will really start to shine as more air comes into the equation (ie upgraded turbocharger) much like our testing on the Evo 8/9 platform, those results are coming soon

It is also important to note that spool up characteristics were not adversely affected by the manifold work. In this particular comparison the dyno pull with the modified intake manifold was started at a higher speed thus the appearance of lag.

Oh and it should be noted that this is a manifold that has had the plenum cut open for full access to the runners so that the FULL manifold gets some PnP luvin'. It's then rewelded and cleaned up.
Also this manifold has advanced ceramics (as do most of our manifold solutions) that includes two coatings, one to help keep the manifold cooler (black exterior coating) and a second on the flange that acts similar to a phenolic as it blocks heat transferred from the head. A perfect manifold and the complete package from MAP!
