Looks nice, but....errr call me dumb, why is the little inlet on the opposite side the air intakes are on?? Doesnt seem to serve much purpose having that inlet on the opposite side.

+1

Stupid crap like that always makes me wonder wtf were they thinking?

Also would look better if you didn't use a mesh that looks like chicken wire...

i believe, (correct me if im wrong), that the opening is to help cool the exhaust manifold and turbo set up.

i'm curious about this hood as well. i know another company made a knockoff of the Monster Sport hood that looks similar to the ED hood, but the MS hood has the opening on the intake side

Yes, the vent on this hood is designed to cool the exh. manifold & turbo.
Most hoods I've seen for the EVo seem to have no scoop up front. I know some grilles are designed to direct airfow into the intake though.

You may be able to modify it to fit your oem hood grill vent. But otherwise, like any other vented hood there is the chance of some water getting into your engine bay. I personally have a Honda S2000 with a Mugen style hood and while some rain gets in my engine bay, it is nothing too significant, in my opinion. I clean & spray down my engine bay frequently, so if that doesn't too any harm, I can't see what harm a little rain will do. All personal opinion, though.
