English Racing Shortblocks

English Racing short blocks are a proven choice for high horsepower Evos. All of our short blocks come complete and ready to go, including a new water and oil pump which you won’t find included in many of the short blocks currently on the market.

Every one of our short blocks is assembled in house. Your short block will be built with the same precision and knowledge that propel our 1117 horse power drag car into the 8’s.

All of out short blocks include:
English Spec Ross pistons
Industry proven steel connecting rods
OEM Crankshaft
ACL Main and Rod Race Bearing and Clevite thrust bearings
ARP Main studs
OEM Water pump
OEM Oil Pump
Balance shaft delete

.

The 2.0
This is a great all purpose motor that is great for the streets or the track. This motor comes with Eagle connecting rods or the option of R&R aluminum rods for an additional $500. We have many running in the 650+whp range on racegas

The 2.1
The English Racing 2.1 is built with a 2.4 block and a 2.0 crankshaft. This combination gives you the potential for a high revving monster. This motor comes with Eagle connecting rods and the option of Manley steel rods or R&R aluminum rods for an additional $500

The 2.2
This motor combines the best of both worlds: down low tq and high revs. The 2.2 can be built with your choice of a 2.0 or 2.4 block. This motor uses an eagle crank and Manley connecting rods or R&R aluminum rods to make the displacement 2.2 liters. We have a few of these making 640+whp and 540+ ft lbs of torque.

The 2.3
The 2.3 is a motor that is growing in popularity due to its down low tq and ability to spool large turbos quickly. This motor uses a 2.0 block and a 2.4 crank to give you an amazing powerband. This motor comes with Eagle connecting rods, or the option of Manley Turbo Tuff’s for an additional $500. How about 722whp and 590 ft lbs on E85?

The 2.4
If you like tq this is the motor for you. Using a 2.4 block and crank this motor will make lag a thing of the past. This motor comes with Eagle connecting rods, or the option of Manly Turbo Tuff’s for an additional $500. 500+whp on pump with over 450 ft lbs torque.

Short block prices start at $4200 with a good core, but we can supply blocks for an additional charge if you do not have one available.

Core charge- 4G64 $600
Core charge- 4G63 $1000

Prices do not include freight, but truck freight can be provided

Very nice guys. I would drop one of these in without thinking about it.

These guys have the experience and R&D and knows what it takes to make a high boost engine solid.

Looks like a great set of options. Hope you have this program around for a while. I will be ordering in 6 months nearing the end of my Afghanistan deployment and getting out of Guam finally.

English Racing has an excellent reputation for building reliable and stout engines for the 4g63/4g64. Props! They've been supporting my 2.2L engine build from the start and helping me select the right components for my application. Thank you English.
